BFS will be making their Slam Dunk Festival debut in the UK in 2017! Having become renowned for booking some great pop punk acts down the years, it was about time BFS joined the party, and so they will next year. Secondly, we are delighted to announce a brand new Bowling For Soup release; A live acoustic CD and DVD recorded here in the UK at London’s Union Chapel titled “Acoustic In A Freakin’ English Church”. Both the CD and DVD will be released in time for Christmas!
Over the last ten years, Slam Dunk Festival has become one of the UK’s great alternative festivals with it’s mix of pop punk, modern rock and metalcore. Something Slam Dunk has never had, until now, is Bowling For Soup, but that is all going to change in 2017! Bowling For Soup are delighted to announce they will be making their Slam Dunk Festival debut in 2017, promising to bring the fun to Leeds, Birmingham and Hatfield in a way that has made them one of the highlights of many other UK festivals over the years.
Here’s Bowling For Soup’s frontman Jaret Reddick’s take on the announcement:
“We are so excited to be back in the UK at Slam Dunk Fest for the first time! This has the makings of a day we will all never forget!!”

2016 has been a great year in the world of Bowling For Soup; Their UK return with the “How About Another Round” tour saw the band play to sold out venues almost every night including an amazing evening at the Camden Roundhouse in London. Last month’s tour with Steel Pantherand Buckcherry saw Jaret, Chris, Erik and Gary thrilling arenas full of fans, while the band’s first new studio album in over three years, Drunk Dynasty, has won rave reviews from fans and media alike.
That would be a great year by any band’s standards, but Bowling For Soup have one more ace up their sleeve for 2016. Back in October 2013, Bowling For Soup, or more accurately, half of the band – frontman Jaret Reddick and bassist Erik Chandler, performed a very special acoustic show in London. Bowling For Soup’s “An Evening With Jaret and Erik” acoustic tours had become an eagerly awaited annual event from 2010 to 2012, but none of those shows took place in a venue as special as London’s magnificent Union Chapel, where the duo found themselves for the show that has been captured for the first official Bowling For Soup Acoustic live release – “Acoustic In A Freakin’ English Church”.
Set to be available on the 16th of December, Acoustic In A Freakin’ English Church will be released both as a live CD and a live DVD, capturing perfectly the essence of a Bowling For Soup acoustic show with their mixture of fan favourite tracks alongside rarely heard songs, all performed in a wonderful stripped back and unique way. Acoustic In A Freakin’ English Church can be pre-ordered from the Bowling For Soup PledgeMusic web page at www.drunkdynasty.com
