With the final show of the hugely successful Get Happy Tour 2018 nearly upon us, Bowling For Soup are gearing up for a very special evening at London’s Brixton Academy. Having already sold out multiple dates on the tour and picking up rave reviews wherever they’ve played from fans and media alike, the biggest UK tour of Bowling For Soup’s 24 years together has been a triumph!
To celebrate the success of the tour, and to also celebrate the fact they are playing their breakthrough album Drunk Enough To Dance in full on it’s fifteenth anniversary, tomorrow night’s show will be filmed for a brand new live Bowling For Soup DVD – “Older, Fatter, Still The Greatest”. The DVD title sums up everything one might expect from “BFS” – self-deprecating humour wrapped around the knowledge that when it comes to live shows, they are one of the best bands around in any genre.
The crowd for Saturday night’s Brixton DVD filming is set to be the band’s largest ever headline show crowd in London. There are a few tickets remaining, and Jaret, Erik, Chris and Gary would love for as many people as possible to come and be part of the DVD recording. There’s also the not-so-small matter of their first ever arena headline show tonight in Cardiff, for which tickets are also still available.

Here’s what the band had to say about capturing the Brixton show on camera:
“This tour has been AMAZING so far! The Brixton show looks set to be our biggest ever, so we thought we would film the party for everyone to be able to enjoy in the future!”
In addition to the announcement of the new live DVD, Bowling For Soup released a brand new music video for their latest single Catalyst last weekend. The video for Catalyst, which is already making serious waves on UK radio, is in keeping with the image of its creators – it is guaranteed to put a smile on your face. The video for Catalyst was directed by none other than Bowling For Soup frontman Jaret Reddick, who teamed up with longtime BFS video producer Jason Crocker to make the video with their new video production venture, BaNned In Texas!
On the subject of making the video for Catalyst, here’s Jaret himself to give everyone the lowdown:
“It’s been a while since we did a full on music video, so why not go big! It’s actually hard to imagine that I drove that car all the way across Dallas just a few hours before it was turned into a pile of rubbish! We had a blast shooting this one!”
