MICHAEL SCHENKER FEST announced as Hard Rock Hell XII Thursday headliners!

As one of the most significant rock guitarists in the history of music – Michael Schenker has mesmerised the rock community since the ‘70s with his distinctive guitar playing style and solidified his place in music history. Writing hits such as ‘Doctor Doctor’ and ‘Rock Bottom’ during his time in UFO, as well as composing Scorpions classics such as ‘Lovedrive’, ‘Coast To Coast’ and’Holiday’ amongst others, his playing has proven to be inimitable and hugely influential for several generations of guitar players.

Currently preparing for the release of their forthcoming studio album ‘Resurrection’ (out 2nd March) – Michael Schenker Fest are very pleased to announce that they will be headlining the Thursday of Hard Rock Hell XII on 8th November 2018!

Michael Schenker Fest will be playing Hard Rock Hell XII with original M.S.G musicians Ted Mckenna (drums, keys), Chris Glen (bass) and Steve Mann (guitar), plus legendary M.S.G.singers Gary Barden, Graham Bonnet and Robin McAuley, as well as Doogie White of Michael Schenker’s Temple Of Rock.

‘Resurrection’ was produced by Michael Voss-Schoen and sees Michael Schenker and the three M.S.G. singers Gary Barden, Graham Bonnet and Robin McAuley joined by Doogie White (Michael Schenker’s Temple Of Rock) as well as musicians Steve Mann (guitars, keyboards), Ted McKenna (drums) and Chris Glen (bass). The album also boasts guest appearances from Kirk Hammett, Wayne Findlay and Michael Voss-Schoen.

Back in 1979, the ‘German Wunderkind’ decided that he wanted to be his own boss. He founded the Michael Schenker Group aka M.S.G. and released masterpieces such as ‘Assault Attack’ and ‘Built To Destroy’, the live legacy ‘One Night At Budokan’ as well as the McAuley Schenker Group pearls ‘Perfect Timing’ and ‘Save Yourself’.
