Nottingham born indie rock quintet ASHFIELDS reveal new single

Nottingham born indie rock quintet ASHFIELDS release their eagerly anticipated new single ‘We Don’t Talk’. The band have already made quite a name for themselves in their hometown and now are looking for some more national recognition. The single premiered on BBC Introducing in the East Midlands, who have been big supporters of the band from the get go.

After Mental Health Awareness Week the band wanted to make a video that showed it’s good to talk and not to suffer in silence. ASHFIELDS posted the video out on their Facebook page last week and it’s already had 34,000 views in just 5 days.

Check out ‘We Don’t Talk’ below:

“We’ve always been heavily into the music scene, growing up with bands like Oasis, The Verve and Kings of Leon.” Explains Jay Sanderson, ASHFIELDS bassist, “I guess we wanted to be like those guys, make our stamp on the music scene, play to thousands of people and share our passion.”

Obviously any band wants to achieve success but when you strip it all back, all it really comes down to is making your hobby a career and that is the code ASHFIELDS live by. They want to ‘live the dream’ and be on the road with their best mates, doing what they love just like any musician.

New single ‘We Don’t Talk’ is definitely a step in the right direction, with huge guitars and addictive sing a long choruses to get your teeth sunk in too. This single is unlike any of the bands previous offerings as they step up to the plate with better production and intricate song writing ability. Their most recent EP launch show sold out, as well as shows in Nottingham and Manchester and were lucky enough to support The Sherlocks at their show at Nottingham’s Rock City. For fans of The 1975 and Maroon 5, ASHFIELDS are definitely the new band for you.
