PIST To Release ’68 OFO’ Via APF Records

Pist is a riff juggernaut from Bury, Lancashire. Formed in late 2013 the quartet have since released an EP and album chock-full of
NOLA-influenced, Southern-tinged heavy rock whilst traveling the UK playing gigs and festivals and drinking beer.

Both long out of print on CD, APF Records is delighted to announce the re- release of 2014’s “Riffology” EP and 2015’s “Rhythm & Booze” album on one disc under the title “68 OFO” with new artwork by Dominic Sohor. The release is named after a drinking story: when on tour with BongCauldron in 2015 the combined 7 band members drank 68 beers on the short journey between two of their shows. 68 or fuck off!

Released in February 2014 and October 2015 respectively to critical acclaim, the lads gigged mercilessly – soon building a fan base in the North West of England and then beyond. By the time Pist released 2015’s “Rhythm & Booze” they had already supported Orange Goblin and Raging Speedhorn, toured with Ten Foot Wizard and Widows and come to the attention of Simon Hall at Bloodstock Open
Air Festival who booked them to perform to perform on Bloodstock’s the Sophie Lancaster Stage in June of 2015.
During the five years since their formation Pist has also supported Napalm Death, Church Of Misery, Monolord, OHHMS and Dopethrone and played at Mammothfest, ‘Kinhellfest, Red Sun Festival, Hard Rock Hell and Hammerfest (twice). The band undertook UK tours in 2014 with Diesel King, 2015 with Foetal Juice and BongCauldron & Gurt, and with their label-mates BongCauldron again in 2016.

In 2018 Pist are touring with APF Records labelmates Battalions in the Spring, playing at Desertfest London in May, and releasing their second album on APF Records in the autumn.
