Illustr8ors released their debut Self titled ep this Oct 14, and my ohh my how it rocks. The band formerly known as hard rockers BlackWolf, are back after a facelift as ‘Illustr8ors’ sharper stronger and better than ever. The bristol based rockers jump straight in with track one and the current new single ‘Your Animal’ and its a monster with a catchy and infectious chorus added to monster riffs and thunderous drums, now this is the way to rock it sets the scene for the rest of this four track e.p, as ‘Something Biblical’ starts off with a thunderous drumbeat which rips into a raunchy bass line and crunching riffs and licks, the solos are not over played, but hook you in and instantly have you reaching for your favourite six string air guitar. It is a solid taster of what is to come as a full length hard rocking album is only a matter of time. As we close off with ‘Shush Shush’ which takes a much more funky, foot tapping approach with a smooth bass line from ‘Ben Webb’ and drumbeat to match courtesy of the man with the thundersticks ‘Thomas Lennox-Brown’ . The vocals from ‘Scott Sharp’ are solid throughout as is the dual guitars of ‘Jason Cronin’ and ‘John Greenhill’ respectively. All in all ‘Illustr8ors’ have produced what is a solid little four track that leaves you with bated breath, screaming out for more.
